Emergency Plan & Safety

In case of an emergency on campus you must dial 9-911. To receive notifications from the university regarding on-campus events, subscribe to Code Maroon or go to emergency.tamu.edu.

Please review the Emergency Plan for Harrington Tower. This document outlines what to do for a number of different emergency situations as well as provides a list of emergency contacts within the college.

If you have any questions related to the Emergency Plan or specific emergency procedures please contact Cheryl Quinlan at 458-3657.

The Harrington Tower evacuation site is the Century Tree in front of Bolton Hall. In the event of fire, smoke, gas leak, bomb threat, or other event that requires a building evacuation, quickly and calmly proceed to this location until you are notified by the building proctor or official emergency personnel that it is safe to return to the building.

In the event that someone is un-responsive in the building, there is a defibrillator located on the 5th floor outside the 511 suite. Always call 911 (or 9-911 if from a university phone) in the event of any emergency and before using the defibrillator.  If you would like to be trained on how to use the defibrillator, please contact Cheryl Quinlan.
